Julia Simon wins her second Olympic gold after a sentence for theft

At the competition, 29-year-old Simon made only one mistake, allowing her to surpass her compatriot Lou Jeanmonnot. The bronze medal was won by Bulgarian athlete Laura Christova.

This victory came shortly after Simon received a suspended prison sentence and a fine for stealing funds from her partner Justine Bresa-Boucher and one of the team staff. Despite this, she quickly returned to competition and achieved impressive results.

After finishing, Julia noted that the internal conflicts within the team had been resolved, and now she is fully focused on her performances.
