Nursultan Keneshbekov took 6th place at the Asian Cross Country Championship

Athlete from Kyrgyzstan Nursultan Keneshbekov finished sixth at the Asian Cross Country Championship held in Japan.

This tournament, the 18th in the series, took place on February 21 in Fukuoka.

In the men's 10 km race, 25 athletes from various countries participated, including Bangladesh, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, China, Kyrgyzstan, Singapore, Thailand, the Philippines, and Japan.

Three representatives from Kyrgyzstan took to the start. Nursultan Keneshbekov achieved the best result, finishing in 6th place with a time of 30 minutes and 16 seconds, 56 seconds behind the Japanese winner.

Other participants from Kyrgyzstan included Jusup Sulayman uulu, who finished 7th (+1 minute 46 seconds), and Tilekzhan Zhenshenaly uulu, who finished 10th (+2 minutes 40 seconds).

In the team standings, the Kyrgyzstan team won silver medals, taking 2nd place.

Among women in the 10 km race, Anara Abdykaparova finished in 17th place with a time of 43 minutes and 56 seconds.
