In April of this year, Kyrgyzstan will host the Youth Asian Cup for players aged 18 and under.
Six teams will participate in this tournament — Kyrgyzstan, India, Iran, Macau, Malaysia, and Mongolia.
The previous Youth Asian Cup took place in 2024 and was held in Tashkent and Samarkand. The champions of the tournament were the hockey players from Uzbekistan, who won the final against the Thailand team with a score of 2:1.
For the Kyrgyzstan national team (U-18), this will be their first experience participating in this tournament in their age category.
Additionally, in January of this year, Bishkek hosted the World Championship among (U-20) teams in the third division, where the Kyrgyzstan national team achieved victory and earned the right to play in the next division.
