World Championship (U-20): The opponents of the Kyrgyzstan national team for next year have been determined

The youth hockey team of Kyrgyzstan (U-20) won the 2026 World Championship in Division 3 "B".

The competition took place from January 18 to 24 in Bishkek with the participation of six teams.

The Kyrgyz demonstrated excellent play, winning all five matches and taking first place, which allowed them to win gold medals.

In addition to the champion title, the team received a promotion — they will now compete in Group A of the third division.

In 2027, our national team will face teams from Bulgaria, Belgium, Turkey, and Thailand, which played in Division 3 "A" this year.

The tournament will also feature the Icelandic team, which finished last, in sixth place in Division 2 "B" and was relegated to a lower division.

Information about the date and location of the upcoming tournament will be announced later.

Participants of the World Championship (U-20) in Division 3 "A" for 2027:

- Iceland (relegated from Division 2 "B")

- Bulgaria (2nd place in Division 3 "A")

- Belgium (3rd place in Division 3 "A")

- Turkey (4th place in Division 3 "A")

- Thailand (5th place in Division 3 "A")

- Kyrgyzstan (1st place in Division 3 "B")
