Talant Duyshebaev appointed head coach of the French national handball team

Talant Duyshebaev, originally from Kyrgyzstan, has been appointed as the head coach of the French national handball team.

His primary task will be to prepare the team for the qualifying matches for the World Championship against the Czech Republic, which will take place on May 13 and 17.

Duyshebaev will combine his duties with the French national team with his work at the Polish club "Kielce".

Previously, he held coaching positions with the national teams of Hungary (2014-2016) and Poland (2016-2017). Under his leadership, the Polish team reached the semifinals of the Olympic Games in Rio, where they narrowly lost to the future Olympic champions with a score of 27:28, ultimately finishing in 4th place.

The French national handball team has an extensive record, including three Olympic titles (2008, 2012, 2020), six World Championship titles (1995, 2001, 2009, 2011, 2015, 2017), and four European Championship titles (2006, 2010, 2014, 2024).
