At yesterday's public hearings, which took place on February 27, the budget project for the city of Osh for 2026 was presented.

According to the proposals from the city administration, the Akhmatbek Suymbaev Stadium and the FC "Alaï" may receive 150 million soms in subsidies.

This amount exceeds the funding allocated last year by 35 million soms, when the club and the stadium were provided with 115 million soms.

Mirlán Bakirov, the club's director, spoke about the reasons for the budget increase and plans for its use.

“In Kyrgyzstan, there are only 60 football players ready to compete in the Premier League. With 16 clubs this season, the distribution of players among teams has become problematic, leading to an increase in demand for Kyrgyz football players and a rise in their salaries. Legionnaires have not been left out either,” he noted.

According to Bakirov, the funds will be directed not only to the athletes' salaries but also to the maintenance of the football field, the development of youth players, and the implementation of the VAR system at the stadium.

“A VAR system will be installed at all stadiums. The installation costs will range from 6 to 8 million soms. It is also necessary to consider the fees for participation in the Premier League, which have increased from 2.5 million soms last year to 4 million this year. This year, they will reach 8 million soms. Since our stadium is equipped with a hybrid pitch, its condition needs to be carefully monitored. Additionally, players use air travel to travel to other cities, and ticket prices have also risen,” he added.
