Aibek Smadiyarov is a graduate of the Kazakh University of International Relations and World Languages named after Ablaikhan and holds the rank of Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Envoy of the II class. He is fluent in several languages, including English and Turkish. Prior to his appointment to the new position, he served as the chairman of the international information committee, representing the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and then became the head of the domestic policy department of the Presidential Administration.
Ruslan Zheldibay, who held the position of assistant and press secretary to the president since September 2025, has been relieved of his duties.
