Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has a new press secretary

President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has relieved Ruslan Zheldibay of his duties as advisor. He has been replaced by Aibek Smadiyarov, who has been appointed as the new advisor and press secretary of the president. This was reported by the press service of Akorda.

Aibek Smadiyarov, who announced his resignation in early December after seven years of service in the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, will now take on a new role in the presidential administration. The news of his appointment was announced on December 15.

According to information from the "Paragraph" system, Aibek Smadiyarov was born in southern Kazakhstan and graduated from Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University in 2004, obtaining a degree in "Documentary Studies and International Relations."

Prior to this, he also worked within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and in the presidential administration.
