
The Minister of Health of Mongolia, Chinburgen Jigjiduren, is on an official visit to the Republic of Korea from January 28 to 30, 2026. During his trip, he is engaging with the National Health Insurance Service and the Health Insurance Review and Assessment Service of South Korea. The minister shared information about his visit on his Facebook page.
During his stay in Korea, the minister met with Lee Hyun-hoon, the Deputy Minister of Health and Welfare, where the parties discussed prospects for further cooperation.

As a result of the discussions, the parties outlined the main areas of bilateral cooperation in the healthcare sector. It was decided to resume the annual advisory meeting of ministers in March in Seoul. Important issues regarding support for Mongolian citizens receiving medical services in South Korea were also discussed, and specific actions for their implementation were agreed upon.
Considering the growing number of Mongolian citizens seeking medical assistance in South Korea, the parties expressed their intention to improve joint efforts. Additionally, they spoke about expanding cooperation in the training of Mongolian doctors and medical specialists, including short-term, medium-term, and long-term training programs, as well as the need to provide quality medications and medical equipment.
