Elon Musk, the renowned American entrepreneur, has become the first person in history whose net worth has exceeded $800 billion, according to Forbes.
According to the publication, this record was set after his rocket company SpaceX acquired xAI — a firm focused on artificial intelligence and social media.
Forbes estimates that the deal, which resulted in the creation of a combined company with a market capitalization of $1.25 trillion, added $84 billion to Musk's fortune, bringing it to a record $852 billion.
It is worth noting that in December of last year, Forbes reported that Musk was the first person whose net worth exceeded $700 billion.
