Musk also mentioned that SpaceX has engaged four leading banks to prepare for an initial public offering (IPO), which is expected to be the largest in history. According to Bloomberg, the IPO could raise over $30 billion and value the company at $1.5 trillion.
During his speech at the forum in Davos, the billionaire emphasized the importance of SpaceX's mission. "We must understand that life and consciousness are rare phenomena. We may be alone in the universe. If that is the case, we are obligated to do everything possible to preserve the light of consciousness, which is like a tiny candle in the endless darkness. This candle can easily go out, and therefore we need to make life multi-planetary. Thus, if a catastrophe occurs on Earth, consciousness can continue to exist. That is the goal of SpaceX," said Elon Musk.
