Starting from February 7, 2026, the Winter Olympic Games will take place in Milan and Cortina d'Ampezzo.
At the "San Siro" stadium in Milan, the opening ceremony paid tribute to the famous designer Giorgio Armani, who passed away in September 2025 at the age of 91.
During the event, models dressed in outfits of green, white, and red created a stunning Italian flag, while Laura Pausini performed the national anthem "Fratelli d'Italia." The ceremony was held under the motto "Armonia." Giovanni Malago, the president of the organizing committee "Milan-Cortina 2026," noted that the decision to commemorate Armani had long been overdue for both Milan and the entire country.
