The Mongolian woman retained the title of Asian champion

Narantuya Bayarsaihan, an outstanding Mongolian snooker player, showcased excellent skills at the 2026 Asian Championship, winning gold and becoming a two-time champion.


On the morning session of February 6 in Doha, the women's final took place, where Narantuya Bayarsaihan, the reigning champion, returned to the table with the intention of defending the title she won last year in Doha.

Her opponent was Indian athlete Keerthana Pandian, who put up a strong fight in the early stages of the match. The first frame ended with Narantuya winning by a narrow margin of two points. In the second frame, she confidently scored 40 points, increasing the lead to 2:0.

Keerthana did not give up, winning the third frame and keeping her chances alive. However, in the fourth frame, Narantuya demonstrated her experience, winning with a score of 57–06 and successfully defending her title. The bronze medals in the women's category went to Yee Ki Ho from Hong Kong and Anupama Ramachandran from India.

The concluded 2026 Asian Snooker Championship took place at the QBSF Academy in Doha and determined the women's champion on February 6.



The award ceremony was attended by prominent figures such as Mubarak Al Hayarin, president of IBSF, Joseph Lo, treasurer of IBSF and ACBS, and Mohamed Mubarak Al Ramzani, president of QBSF.
