
According to the adopted decision, the project fully complies with the norms of the Law on State Debt, as well as the most important strategic documents, including the Medium-Term Fiscal Policy and the Energy Development Plan. The results of the Feasibility Study and Environmental Impact Assessment are also taken into account.
The implementation of the project will be carried out under the Law on Public-Private Partnership in the format of "Design, Build, Operate and Transfer." This project is considered strategically important for forming a sustainable and environmentally safe energy infrastructure in the country.
The launch of CHPP-5 will lead to:
- stabilization of the energy system of the capital;
- creation of a reliable power supply source for the western administrative district;
- reduction of the load on existing thermal power plants;
- increased reliability and stability of electrical networks.
After commissioning, CHPP-5 will provide electricity to approximately 100,000 households and thermal energy to more than 40,000.
During the construction process, 1,600 temporary jobs will be created, and after the completion of the work, more than 370 permanent vacancies will become available.
