This column has a height of 58.4 meters, a diameter of 3.2 meters, and weighs 245 tons. It was produced by the Indian company KCP Limited, located in Chennai.
Before setting off, the column underwent 17 stages of inspection, including hydro testing and non-destructive testing. It was then preserved using nitrogen and prepared for multimodal transportation. For this, the column will be divided into four parts. The sea delivery from the port of Mumbai (India) is expected to take place in mid-February, after which the equipment will be transshipped at the port of Tianjin (China) and sent by road to the refinery site in Mongolia.
In December 2025, a commission consisting of the management and engineers of the Mongolian oil refinery project conducted acceptance tests and confirmed that the column met the established technical requirements. The equipment was deemed ready for shipment and installation.
