The incident occurred on the Izmir-Istanbul highway when, around 1 AM local time, the aircraft lost control and crashed. A powerful fire broke out as a result of the crash, and debris from the plane was scattered over a significant distance.
According to the Ministry of Defense, the aircraft disappeared from radar at 00:56, and at the same time, communication with the pilot was lost. During the search and rescue operations, debris was found, but unfortunately, the pilot did not survive.
The causes of the crash will be investigated by a special commission, as reported by a representative of the defense ministry.
