Azerbaijan sent about 25 tons of humanitarian aid to Iran

The humanitarian cargo that was sent includes 10 tons of flour, 6 tons of rice, 2.4 tons of sugar, over 4 tons of drinking water, about 600 kilograms of tea, as well as 2 tons of medical supplies and equipment. This decision was made following a phone call between Presidents Ilham Aliyev and Masoud Pezeshkian on March 8.

It is worth noting that on March 5, drones struck the airport and a nearby school area in the suburb of Nakhchivan, resulting in injuries to four people. Azerbaijani authorities blamed Iran for this attack, calling the incident a terrorist act. However, the Islamic Republic denied any involvement in these events.

Following the mentioned incidents, the movement of trucks at the border between Azerbaijan and Iran was suspended. Transportation is expected to resume on March 10.
