The Republican Center for Health Strengthening commented on the necessity of the MMR vaccination for children who have already had measles.

According to doctors, after a child contracts measles, they develop immunity only to that particular virus.

“Thus, even if a child has already had measles, it is still recommended to get the MMR vaccine to ensure protection against mumps and rubella,” the medical professionals note.

According to the national vaccination schedule of Kyrgyzstan, vaccination against measles is carried out using the MMR vaccine at the age of 12 months, and revaccination is conducted at 2 years.
