The National Center for Oncology and Hematology will serve as the basis for the new medical institution
A working meeting organized by Deputy Minister of Health Bakytbek Kadyraliev took place with the participation of representatives from the State Corporation "Rosatom" and the National Center for Oncology and Hematology under the Ministry of Health of Kyrgyzstan. The main topic of discussion was issues related to the development of nuclear medicine.
During the meeting, participants reviewed the current status of the state project aimed at creating a Nuclear Medicine Center based on the existing National Center for Oncology and Hematology. Further steps were also determined to accelerate the implementation of this project.
It is planned that the new center will be equipped with its own production of radiopharmaceuticals based on cyclotrons.
The main objective of the project is to ensure access to timely diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular, oncological, and neurological diseases using modern radiopharmaceuticals and advanced nuclear medicine technologies,” the press release states.
