The proposed changes pertain to the order issued by the State Agency for Architecture, Construction, and Housing and Communal Services under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic, which approves the construction standards of the Kyrgyz Republic SN KR 20-02:2024 "Seismic-resistant construction. Design standards" dated March 7, 2024, No. 68-npa.
The purpose of the new draft order is to improve the standards for seismic-resistant construction, specifically by clarifying the application of peak acceleration values for real estate in Bishkek.
The document proposes to amend paragraph 2 of the aforementioned order, specifying that the new rules do not apply to buildings and structures with a height of 75 meters or more, as well as unique objects with high social responsibility of class IV according to SN KR 20-02:2024.
