- At the meeting of the "Mekenchil" parliamentary group on January 30, 2026, Erkeaiym Seitkazieva from the Jogorku Kenesh raised a serious issue regarding the lack of conditions in the pastures, including the territory of the Suusamyr Valley.

She noted that during the spring months, farmers are forced to drive their livestock to remote pastures, but the necessary conditions for their maintenance are not being created.

“Farmers have to send their animals to distant pastures in April and May. However, in June, when they return to the Suusamyr Valley, there are no conditions. The roads are closed, and the necessary funding is not allocated,” said Seitkazieva.

The deputy also pointed out that local government bodies are responsible but often lack sufficient resources, as many of them depend on subsidies. In this regard, she asked whether the Ministry of Agriculture could create the necessary conditions and allocate funding.

Deputy Minister of Agriculture Zhanibek Kerimaliev responded that the income from the use of pastures should be directed towards their development.

According to him, the ministry is also working on attracting additional sources of funding.

“We are considering the possibility of attracting grants and reaching out to investors. Additionally, it is necessary to develop a schedule for the use of pastures,” added the deputy minister.
