She noted that she is aware of the country's dependence on imports and inquired about what measures the Ministry of Construction plans to take to support local production of building materials.
In response, Minister of Construction Nurdin Oruntaev clarified that the main problem lies in the significant import of construction materials from abroad.
He added that previously, Russia was the main supplier of metal for Kyrgyzstan.
“Now we have provided the opportunity to import metal from China. Last year, the price fluctuated between 55-58 soms,” he reported.
