The National Bank presented collectible coins and banknotes at the World Money Fair in Berlin

From January 26 to February 1, 2026, the National Bank of Kyrgyzstan participated in the annual World Money Fair, which took place in Berlin, Germany, as reported in the official release from the NBKR.

The World Money Fair is a leading international platform in the field of numismatics, where coin manufacturers, national banks, mints, specialists, dealers, and collectors come together. Each year, the event gathers about 300 participants from more than 50 countries.

The main objective of the NBKR at this exhibition was to present and promote the history and culture of Kyrgyzstan through the lens of the national currency.

The bank's exhibition showcased banknotes and collectible coins that illustrate the historical and cultural heritage of the country. Among the presented series, one can note "Historical Events," "The Era of the Kyrgyz Khaganate," "Monuments of History and Architecture of Kyrgyzstan," "Kyrgyz Customs and Rituals," "National Musical Instruments," "National Sports and Folk Games," "World Nomad Games," as well as "The Red Book of Kyrgyzstan."

A total of more than 30 unique exhibits of banknotes and coins of the national currency were displayed. According to the National Bank, the collectible coins and banknotes generated significant interest among numismatists, experts, and other visitors to the exhibition.
