The KR Customs increased collections 6 times and transferred 157 billion soms to the budget
At an expanded board meeting attended by Prime Minister Adylbek Kasymaliev, the results of the State Customs Service (GTS) were summarized. The main factor contributing to this growth was the complete digitization of processes. The implementation of the "Smart Customs" platform allowed the customs service to process over 873 thousand declarations within a year, which is almost eight times higher than the figures for 2021. This was made possible without increasing the number of employees, thanks to automation, which reduced control time from 5 hours to 60 minutes, and in some cases – to several dozen minutes.

Key achievements of the GTS in numbers:

Exceeding planned revenues: The budget received 5.8 billion soms more than planned (execution was 103.8%).

Combating smuggling: Nearly 10 thousand offenses were recorded, bringing an additional 1.56 billion soms to the treasury.

Anti-drug activities: More than 830 kg of narcotic substances and 22 tons of precursors were seized.

Simplifying processes for businesses: The number of bureaucratic steps was halved – from 18 to 9 steps.

Technological innovations: Payments totaling around 2 billion soms were processed through the QR code system in three months.

Adylbek Kasymaliev noted that customs revenues account for more than 25% of the entire republican budget. Despite the successful results of the GTS for 2025, the goals remain high: for 2026, the task is to collect at least 142.6 billion soms and to begin implementing a new Development Concept by 2030.
