According to research conducted by experts from the Eurasian Development Bank, the volume of money transfers to Kyrgyzstan may reach 3.5 billion dollars by 2025. This data was published in the weekly macro review of this multilateral financial institution.

Analysts noted that compared to 2024, there is a record increase in transfers at the level of 16.8%, which is primarily related to inflows from Russia.

According to EDB information, 3.5 billion dollars account for 15.4% of Kyrgyzstan's gross domestic product.

“The increase in inflows in dollar terms was due to the strengthening of the ruble against the dollar by 24% by the end of 2025. At the same time, the exchange rate of the som to the dollar remained virtually unchanged during this period. This increase in cash flow contributes to the growth of domestic demand, which increased by 17.8% in 2025,” the macro review states.
