In 2025, the cryptocurrency market in Kyrgyzstan reached significant heights. The country's president, Sadyr Japarov, held a series of high-level meetings, including a meeting with the founder of Binance. That same year, the national stablecoin USDKG was launched, and changes were made to the legislation.

Growth of Turnover

The virtual assets sector began to actively develop in Kyrgyzstan starting in 2022. During this period, the number of participants working with virtual assets increased from six to 82, while the number of trading operators grew from one to five, according to information from the Financial Market Regulation and Supervision Service.

By the end of 2025, the total turnover of virtual asset service providers amounted to 2 trillion 735 billion 62.5 million soms, which is a threefold increase compared to the previous year.

There is also a formation of the exchange sector in Kyrgyzstan. In 2025, the trading volume on cryptocurrency exchanges reached 157 billion 206.31 million soms with 23,260 transactions conducted.

The year 2025 was groundbreaking for the cryptocurrency market in Kyrgyzstan, as the volumes of service providers doubled to 2.7 trillion soms with 2.1 million transactions, and tax revenues to the budget from virtual asset service providers amounted to 1.6 billion soms. This occurred even against the backdrop of a 2.4% decrease in electricity consumption and the suspension of farm operations due to the crisis. The issuance of virtual assets reached 6 billion units, exceeding 3 billion soms, despite increasing state control. However, risks remain: U.S. sanctions against Grinex, Garantex, and A7A5 highlight the sector's vulnerability to international restrictions.
