- In 2026, the construction of two new facilities will begin in the Chui region. This was announced by the first deputy representative of the president in the region, Sanjar Zhantaev, at a board meeting dedicated to the socio-economic development of the region.

Starting in 2026, farmers using water-saving technologies will be able to obtain loans on preferential terms, at a rate of 2% per annum. For these purposes, 1 billion soms has been allocated.

Preparation for field work and winter sowing

For 2026, winter sowing is planned on an area of 118,500 hectares, of which 95,282 hectares have already been sown. Pre-sowing tillage has been conducted on 10,625 hectares.

To ensure timely preparation and conduct of spring field work, regional and district headquarters are operating in the region, with control being carried out in an enhanced mode.

Seeds and their provision

For 2026, the need for grain seeds is 24,907 tons. Currently, 23,704 tons have been procured, which is 95.2% of the required volume.

Full provision of seeds for oats and legumes has already been achieved. To cover the shortfall in grain volumes, it is planned to use subsidies and the sale of seeds through seed-growing farms.

Equipment and fertilizers in the region

The region has over 13,000 units of agricultural machinery, of which 86.8% are ready for spring work.

The annual need for mineral fertilizers is about 37,000 tons.

The prices for fertilizers are as follows:

    •    ammonium nitrate — from 23 to 30 soms per kilogram;

    •    urea — from 29.5 to 39 soms per kilogram.

Sown areas and crops grown

In 2026, the total area of crops will be 418,764 hectares, which is 550 hectares more than the previous year.

Of this area:

    •    269,698 hectares are occupied by grain crops;

    •    96,797 hectares — by forage crops;

    •    52,269 hectares — by other crops.

According to the results of variety trials, the yield of winter wheat varieties "Pobeda-75," "Shef," and "Kolchuga" ranged from 60 to 73 centners per hectare. The safflower variety "Petrovich" showed a yield of 22.1 centners per hectare. These varieties are recommended for implementation.

Provision of fuel and lubricants

For the spring field work, 12,130 tons of diesel fuel and 3,032 tons of gasoline will be required. According to the data from the Association of Oil Traders, stocks at oil depots and gas stations are at a satisfactory level.

In addition, the State Material Reserves Fund offers farmers 2 million liters of diesel fuel at a price of 74 soms per liter, while the market price is 78–80 soms.

“It is expected that there will be no problems with the provision of fuel and lubricants this year,” added the first deputy representative.
