Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry Bakyt Torobaev held a meeting to discuss preparations for spring fieldwork in the Kara-Suu district of Osh region.
Representatives from the ministry's territorial divisions, the akim of the Kara-Suu district, the presidential representative in the Osh region Amanakan Kenjebayev, as well as heads of all rural districts and the head of the district's emergency situations department participated in the discussion.
The minister listened to reports from relevant services about readiness for spring work, availability of mineral fertilizers, and cleaning of irrigation canals. The heads of rural districts presented data on the area of irrigated lands and sources of water intake.
Bakyt Torobaev emphasized the need to intensify preparations for fieldwork and urged farmers to pay attention to the advantages of using certified seeds.
“It is important to inform farmers now about the benefits of using certified seeds. To avoid problems during the irrigation season, the cleaning of canals must be completed in advance,” he stressed.
Participants in the meeting also noted that modern agricultural machinery is arriving in the region, which contributes to the development of agriculture. In addition, farmers have begun to receive preferential loans through "Aiyl Bank" and "Eldik Bank."
