Over the next 4-5 years, it is forecasted that the cost of meat in Kyrgyzstan will remain at a relatively high level. This was reported by Uran Chekirbaev, head of the food security department of the Ministry of Agriculture, in the program "Elden Sobol" on the news agency "Kabar".
Chekirbaev noted that the ministry is actively working to prevent sharp fluctuations in meat prices and conducts constant monitoring of prices for basic food products. "One of the methods aimed at keeping meat prices consistently low has been the temporary ban on the export of livestock, introduced in August of last year. In addition, the ministry supports farmers by providing them with various subsidies and loans," he added.
