- On the air of the radio, Baktybek uulu Jakshylyq, a representative of the Antimonopoly Regulation Service under the Ministry of Economy and Commerce, explained that state price regulation only covers beef and lamb, excluding boneless meat.

He added that the order clearly states that the measures apply exclusively to bone-in meat.

“When state regulation was introduced, it did not affect boneless meat and fillet, but only applied to bone-in meat, including hams and briskets,” he clarified.

According to the specialist, many consumers misinterpreted this regulation, believing that it applies to all types of meat.

In this regard, the Antimonopoly Regulation Service received several inquiries from citizens. It is reported that specialists went to the locations and conducted explanatory conversations with consumers and sellers, familiarizing them with the requirements of the order.

The representative of the service also noted that the specified measures are in effect at all points of meat sale across the country.

Context of the issue

The order came into effect in August 2025 for a period of 90 days, after which its validity was extended for another 30 days — until December 30. After that, the temporary regulation was extended from December 31, 2025, to January 30, 2026, according to order No. 205. For the third time, the validity of the temporary regulation was extended until February 27, 2026.
