In Bishkek and the Chui Region, 87 price monitoring sessions for meat were conducted, - Antimonopoly Service

- In August 2025, according to order No. 140, temporary state regulation of meat prices began in Kyrgyzstan, which will last for 90 days. This was announced on the radio by Baktybek uulu Jakshylyk, a specialist from the Antimonopoly Regulation Service under the Ministry of Economy and Commerce.

He noted that during this period, price monitoring was conducted in Bishkek and the Chui region.

“For 90 days, we closely monitored meat prices in Bishkek and the Chui region. In case of unjustified price increases, fines are stipulated: 3,000 soms for individuals and 13,000 soms for legal entities. These measures are outlined in the order issued by the authorized bodies,” he clarified.

As part of this order, explanatory work was also carried out for meat sellers, and all entrepreneurs were informed about the requirements established by the document.

In total, 87 monitoring sessions were conducted, during which 276 business entities were registered, and explanatory work was carried out with them.

The specialist emphasized that measures to maintain stable meat prices continue to be in effect.

Initially, the regulation came into force in August 2025 for 90 days; however, the duration was then extended for 30 days until December 30. Subsequently, by order No. 205, the temporary regulation was extended from December 31, 2025, to January 30, 2026. For the third time, the regulation was set to last until February 27, 2026.
