According to the agency's data, Akunbekov will continue work on five main areas set by his predecessor Bakyt Torobaev:
Improvement of irrigation and provision of clean water to the population;
Development of seed production, seedlings, breeding livestock, and veterinary assistance;
Strengthening cooperation, processing, logistics, and mechanization in agriculture;
Increasing the volumes of agricultural product exports and imports;
Supporting science, education, experience exchange, and training of specialists.
During the meeting, the First Deputy Minister Zhanibek Kerimaliev provided information on the current affairs of the agency, while Deputy Minister Mirbek Duyshiev acquainted the participants with the crediting programs in the agricultural sector.
The agency noted that currently, within the framework of state financial support for the agro-industrial complex, 9 projects are being implemented with a total amount of 13 billion 180 million soms.
