Head of Financial Supervision Marat Pirnazarov reported that the maximum insurance amounts are:
- 1 million soms in cities,
- 500 thousand soms in rural areas.
He also noted that there are individual insurance rates that allow for coverage amounts and possible payouts significantly higher than those specified.
The deputy clarified what the timeframe is for victims to expect compensation payments.
Deputy Chairman of the State Insurance Organization Baktygul Abdyjaliev responded that, by law, compensation must be paid within a month; however, the organization is making efforts to expedite this process.
“Delays are usually related to a lack of documents for the property or various certificates,” he noted.
Deputy Kylchayev expressed the opinion that a month of waiting is too long for people who have lost their homes due to fire or natural disasters.
