From February 23 to 26, 2026, negotiations took place in Bucharest between the official delegations of Kyrgyzstan and Romania, aimed at signing the Agreement on the elimination of double taxation of income and preventing tax evasion. This was reported by the Ministry of Economy of Kyrgyzstan.
During the negotiations, the details of the draft document were discussed, and as a result, the parties reached a principled agreement on the text of the Agreement.
The signing of this document is planned after the completion of all internal procedures in both countries.
The Agreement aims to eliminate double taxation, create more favorable conditions for investments, protect the residents of both countries from discriminatory taxation, and develop information exchange between the competent authorities of Kyrgyzstan and Romania.
