On the morning of March 2, 2025, the price of Brent crude oil on the London ICE exchange reached $81 per barrel, marking the first occurrence since June 23, 2025. This data was obtained from trading reports.

At the beginning of the trading week, the price of oil increased by 12.2 percent, attributed to rising tensions in the Middle East regions.

Meanwhile, the WTI oil contract for October delivery rose by 2.3 percent, reaching $76.7 per barrel.

Previously, experts had predicted a significant increase in oil prices, linking it to the potential blockage of the Strait of Hormuz. However, Iranian authorities announced that they have no intention of closing this vital maritime route.
