Ministry of Economy: If Kazakhstan and Russia violate the EAEU requirements and create barriers, we are ready to defend our rights

The ministry noted that the import of goods into Kyrgyzstan is proceeding without significant difficulties, while exports are facing obstacles.

At a meeting of the relevant committee of the Jogorku Kenesh, Deputy Minister of Economy and Commerce Sultan Akhmatov stated that Kyrgyzstan is ready to defend its rights if Kazakhstan and Russia begin to violate EAEU norms and impose barriers.

Akhmatov commented on the remarks of deputies regarding the fact that the import of goods into the country is carried out without significant difficulties, while exports face numerous problems, as evidenced by the long lines of trucks at the border with Kazakhstan.

According to him, delays in exports arise due to internal issues in the destination countries. "If Kazakhstan and Russia create barriers and violate EAEU requirements, we will take measures to protect our interests. We are ready to prepare all necessary documents and send them to the Eurasian Economic Commission," Akhmatov noted.
