The largest share of cattle population in Kyrgyzstan is concentrated in the farms of the Osh region.

- In Kyrgyzstan, the highest concentration of cattle (bovine) is recorded in the Osh region, where 22% of the country's total livestock is located. This data was collected at the end of 2025.

In second place by the number of cattle is the Jalal-Abad region, accounting for 21% of the total number of animals. Next are the Chui region with 17% and the Issyk-Kul region, where the share is 15.5%.

As for sheep and goats, the leader is the Jalal-Abad region, which accounts for 22.5% of the total livestock. It is followed by the Naryn region with 17.7%, the Osh region with 17.3%, and the Issyk-Kul region, where the share is 15%.

According to data on horses, the largest number of these animals is recorded in the Naryn region, where their share is 26.3%. The Osh region ranks second with 17.8%, the Issyk-Kul region — 17.6%, the Jalal-Abad region — 16.7%, and the Chui region — 14.5%.

Comparing with data from 2024, there is an increase in the number of cattle in the Batken region by 2.6%. The most significant growth is observed in the Batken district — 8.8%, as well as in the Leilek district — 1.9%.

In the Jalal-Abad region, the increase was 2.2%, particularly noticeable in the Ala-Buka district, where it reached 4.4%, and in the Toktogul district with 3.8%.

The Naryn region also noted an increase in the number of cattle by 1.8%. Specifically, in the Jumgal district, the increase was 3.8%, and in the At-Bashy district — 3.6%.

At the same time, a decrease in the number of cattle has been recorded in the cities of Bishkek and Osh.
