Tax debts accumulated in Kyrgyzstan before 2022 will be written off

As reported by Kubanychbek Isabekov, Deputy Chairman of the State Tax Service of the Kyrgyz Republic, tax and insurance contribution debts that arose before 2022 are subject to write-off. This statement was made on the air of "Birinchi Radio."

According to Isabekov, changes were introduced to the Tax Code last year based on a presidential decree. "According to the decision, if debts were accumulated before 2022, they can be written off, provided that no criminal case has been initiated against the person," he clarified. The Deputy Chairman also added that other types of debts are subject to write-off, including those for which there are already court decisions.

He noted that "even debts with court decisions can be written off."

In addition, Kubanychbek Isabekov emphasized that the State Tax Service plans to provide additional clarifications on the application of these norms in the regions. The agency intends to send circulars to all districts so that the decision-making process regarding write-offs occurs without unnecessary bureaucracy and strictly within the framework of the law. The Deputy Chairman also noted that separate decisions regarding write-offs have already been made in a number of cases, including issues related to the export of livestock to Uzbekistan and the purchase of agricultural products without the necessary documents.
