The Ministry confirmed that the construction process is proceeding strictly according to schedule.
The completed stages include:
- The passage of the 950-meter-long diversion tunnel has been fully completed;
- Currently, the lining of the water supply tunnel is being concreted;
- Work on soil stabilization and wall construction at the branching node has been completed;
- Preparation for the installation of the tunnel interchange with three exits is also underway, where metal structures measuring 93.6 m and 74.4 m have already been installed and welded.
Important results have also been achieved in the construction of the hydroelectric power station building itself:
- Construction work on the HPP building is 90% complete;
- Reinforcement and concreting of the columns for the lifting mechanisms of the spillway channel have been fully completed;
- The installation of the roof frame has been completed, and the laying of the roofing material is currently ongoing;
- Installation of hydroturbines No. 1, 2, 3, and disc gates has been completed.
In conclusion, the Ministry of Energy noted that the capacity of the Orto-Tokoy HPP will be 21 MW, and it is expected that all construction work will be completed in the first half of 2026.
