According to information from the Eurasian Development Bank, remittances to the Kyrgyz Republic increased by 17.2% from January to November 2025.

The main contribution to this growth came from inflows from Russia, which increased by 16.7%.

The strengthening of the ruble against the dollar by 10.6% compared to the average values of 2024 also contributed to the growth of inflows in dollars. At the same time, the average exchange rate of the som to the dollar in 2024-2025 remained around 87. The growing volume of remittances had a positive effect on domestic demand: the growth of internal trade was 9.5% in January-November of last year, as highlighted in the report.
