As a result of the nationalization of the Kumtor gold deposit, which took place from 2021 to 2025, the budget of Kyrgyzstan has been significantly replenished. This was reported by Prime Minister Adylbek Kasymaliev.
According to him, the activities of Kumtor contributed about 5.115 billion US dollars (over 400 billion soms) to the state treasury. Of this amount, approximately 1.176 billion dollars were taxes and other mandatory payments, as well as about 441 million dollars in the form of dividends.
