During this meeting, a project aimed at improving access to clean water and sanitation for 126 settlements in the Osh, Chui, and Issyk-Kul regions was also discussed. The total funding for the program amounts to 200 million dollars, of which 20 million dollars will be provided by the OPEC Fund for International Development. The loan terms include a duration of 20 years, a grace period of 5 years, and an interest rate of 1.25% per annum.
In addition to this, the Jogorku Kenesh also approved another bill "On the Ratification of the Loan Agreement 'First Program for Sustainable and Inclusive Growth' with the OPEC Fund for International Development, signed on September 22, 2025, in Bishkek." As well as a draft law in the second reading "On the Ratification of the Agreement on Issuance between the Kyrgyz Republic and Mongolia, signed on July 21, 2025, in Bishkek."
