Bloomberg: Erdogan is preparing his son Bilal as a successor

Bilal Erdogan is becoming an increasingly prominent figure in public life. State media are more actively covering his activities, and his father is inviting him on foreign trips more frequently. According to Bloomberg, Bilal is undergoing informal training for political leadership and is involved in personnel matters both within the party and in the government.

However, Bloomberg sources emphasize that the success of such political moves is not guaranteed. Nevertheless, the situation both within the country and beyond its borders appears more favorable for Erdogan. Turkey is strengthening its influence on the international stage, from Syria to Somalia, and the president is actively fostering interactions with Donald Trump and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. The harsh measures against the opposition have not yet led to significant losses for the authorities.

One of the main risks pointed out by Bloomberg is the "cost of living crisis," which could negatively impact voter support, especially among pensioners. Inflation, although exceeding 30%, shows signs of slowing down, which could improve consumer sentiment and affect the outcomes of the upcoming elections, according to analysts at Bloomberg Economics.

Uncertainty also surrounds the fate of the peace process with the Kurds. Success in this area could represent a significant political victory for Erdogan, while failure may force the authorities to return to a hardline stance to mobilize the nationalist electorate.
