- On February 12, Minister of Transport and Communications Abdykar Syrgabaev participated in the second meeting of the transport ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), which is taking place in Istanbul, as reported by the press service of the Ministry of Transport.

During the meeting, key issues were discussed regarding the expansion of transport links, the development of logistics corridors, the reduction of transport barriers, and the implementation of digital technologies in the industry.

Syrgabaev, in his speech, emphasized the importance of the country's project for the construction of the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway and outlined several aspects of this initiative.

“Kyrgyzstan is actively working on infrastructure projects aimed at modernizing both the road and railway sectors, developing logistics centers, and increasing transit potential. One of the main projects is the construction of the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway,” the minister noted.

He also emphasized Kyrgyzstan's readiness to participate in joint initiatives and projects aimed at developing the transport sector.

“Issues of sustainable and 'green' transport are becoming increasingly relevant. Kyrgyzstan supports initiatives that promote the development of environmentally friendly modes of transport and minimize the negative impact of transport infrastructure on nature,” Syrgabaev added.
