Kazakhstan Plans to Triple the Total Installed Capacity of Hydroelectric Power Plants by the End of 2030

- Kazakhstan intends to significantly increase the capacity of hydroelectric power stations by 2030, according to information from the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

As reported on February 13, there are currently 43 hydropower facilities operating in the country with a total installed capacity of 313 MW.

In accordance with existing contracts, it is planned to commission new hydropower stations with a capacity of about 660 MW by the end of 2030.
