A citizen, N.K., reported a fraud case to the Internal Affairs Department of the Lenin District of Bishkek. He stated that on January 22, 2024, two acquaintances, M. and A., convinced him to buy two plots of land in the village of Selektsiya with a total area of 16 acres for 200,000 US dollars. This information was received from the Internal Affairs Department of the Lenin District.
According to the police, the suspects had no legal rights to these plots and deceived the victim, causing him significant damage. Of the promised 200,000 US dollars, he was returned only 57,500, after which the fraudsters disappeared. The total amount of damage amounted to 12,281,156 soms.
In this case, the Investigative Service of the Internal Affairs Department of the Lenin District of Bishkek initiated a criminal investigation under Article 209 (fraud) of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
During operational search activities, one of the suspects, U.M., born in 1985, was detained. He was taken to the Investigative Service and placed in the temporary detention facility of the Main Internal Affairs Department of Bishkek.
The identity of the second suspect has also been established, and necessary investigative actions are currently ongoing.
