IBM emphasizes that layoffs related to replacing employees with AI represent an illusory saving. At the same time, Microsoft believes that artificial intelligence technologies will soon be able to replace almost all office workers.
Mustafa Suleyman, the director of artificial intelligence at Microsoft, stated in a recent interview with the Financial Times that within 12-18 months, AI will be able to take on a significant portion of office work.
Elon Musk also made a prediction about the future of programming. He believes that by the end of 2026, the need for programming as such will disappear. In his view, AI will be able to generate binary code directly, bypassing all traditional stages of development.
"I believe that by the end of this year, you will no longer be trying to write code. Artificial intelligence will be able to create binary files directly and will do so much more efficiently than any compiler," Musk said in one of his videos.
