- According to the State Financial Supervision Service, since 2021, 285 inspections of pawnshops have been conducted.

As a result of these inspections, 111 licenses were revoked, 11 licenses were temporarily suspended, and 290 fines were imposed, totaling 8 million 414 thousand soms.

The agency noted that inspections were carried out both remotely and on-site, using a risk-oriented approach, analysis of reports, and monitoring of compliance with regulatory requirements.

The most common violations identified by the Financial Supervision Service included: hidden commissions, unlawful retention of pledged property, and violations in the sale of pledged items.

Additionally, information was reiterated regarding the Cabinet's resolution dated November 6, 2024, No. 671, which prohibits pawnshops from unilaterally changing the terms of contracts if it worsens the rights of borrowers or increases their obligations. Data transmission to credit bureaus is permitted only for loans exceeding 200,000 soms.

The Financial Supervision Service plans to continue its supervisory activities, including the implementation of digital tools for analysis and monitoring.
