At the border, near the MAPP "Sagarchin," employees of the Rosselkhoznadzor stopped a truck driver on January 19 who was transporting 24 horses without the necessary documents. The animals were being sent from Kabardino-Balkaria to Kyrgyzstan to participate in sports competitions, according to information from the agency's press service.
According to the agency's clarification, the transportation was carried out in violation of veterinary legislation. The horses were not registered in the accounting system, and the necessary preventive and anti-epizootic measures to prevent the spread of particularly dangerous diseases had not been conducted.
After the animals were detained, they were returned, and the transporter was subjected to administrative measures.
