To ensure phytosanitary safety in the Kyrgyz Republic, enhanced control is being implemented at the state border. This was reported by the Ministry of Agriculture, informing about the actions of the Osh Department for Chemicalization, Plant Protection, and Quarantine.
Last week, at the "Dostuk" checkpoint, an attempt to import 26 tons and 978 kg of onions from Uzbekistan was recorded. However, due to the lack of a phytosanitary certificate and improper labeling of the cargo, this batch was not allowed for import into Kyrgyzstan.
Specialists from the Osh Department conducted an inspection of the specified cargo and, upon discovering violations of phytosanitary legislation, returned it to the carrier.
